Job Opening: The Queeres Zentrum Kassel e.V. is hiring someone on a mini-job basis as soon as possible

7.5 hours per week
Mini-job pay: €603/month
- limited until the end of 2026 -

Tasks at the Queer Center include:

• Social media work (approx. 3.5 hours per week)

  • Promoting events at the Queer Center

  • Designing and creating content for Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, etc.

  • Designing, creating, and editing videos for social media (filming, editing, simple post-production)

  • Occasional work on the website

  • Collaborating with volunteers in the area of social media

• Hosting opening hours (approx. 3 hours per week)

  • Regular hosting of the Open Living Room in collaboration with volunteers

  • Current Open Living Room schedule: Friday, 4-7 p.m.

  • Designing small leisure activities as part of the Open Living Room, e.g., karaoke night, creative activities, queer bar, game night, etc.

• Cleaning the premises (approx. 1 hour per week)

  • Team cleaning with other staff members

Our requirements for applicants

• Experience in social media work

• Good sense of visual language, storytelling, and digital content

• Basic knowledge of video editing software

• Basic knowledge of Canva

• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner

• Willingness to work evenings or weekends on occasion

• Sensitivity and professional distance toward visitors to the Queer Center

• Sensitivity to queer issues; willingness to use gender-neutral language; self-reflection on one's own privileges and discrimination
