How to find the Queer Center

Ou space is located on the 5th floor of Mauerstraße 11 in Kassel. Our entrance door is between ÇiğKöfteM and the NVV Kundenzentrum. Above the door is a large sign that says Ärztehaus.

In the evenings and on weekends, you have to ring the bell to enter the building. The bell is to the right of the door. The front door is heavy and does not have an automatic door opener. If you ring the bell three times in quick succession, someone will come down and open the front door.

Once you are inside the building, take the elevator to the 5th floor. The elevator door is 80 cm wide. All other doors are wider.

On the 5th floor, take the door on the left and follow a very long corridor to the end. The corridor has two turns before you reach our door. Our door is open during opening hours. It is sometimes closed during group meetings. In this case, ring the doorbell.

Would you prefer not to take the elevator?

Unfortunately, the stairwell for the entrance at Mauerstraße 11 is locked and cannot be used.
Please let us know in advance if you would like to use the stairs to get to the Queer Center. We will then give you directions for the stairs you can use and a phone number to call when you arrive. Someone will then come to meet you and open a locked connecting door.

Getting here by bus and train

The Mauerstraße bus stop is right outside the door in one direction. In this direction, the bus stops in front of the Kurfürstengalerie.
When the bus stops in front of City Point, cross the street and walk about 50 meters slightly uphill. Our entrance is between the NVV Kundenzentrum and ÇiğKöfteM. Above the door is a sign that says Ärztehaus.

The Königsplatz tram stop is 200 meters away. The route is slightly uphill. From Königsplatz, take Poststraße (between City Point and the Telekom Shop). At the end of Poststraße, cross Mauerstraße and turn left. Our entrance is between the NVV Kundenzentrum and ÇiğKöfteM. Above the door is a sign that says Ärztehaus.

Kassel Central Station is 800 meters away. The route is slightly downhill. Cross the station forecourt and walk along Kurfürstenstraße. At the end of the street, continue straight ahead across the traffic lights and then turn left after about 30 meters. Turn right into Kölnische Straße. Behind the Kurfürstengalerie, turn left into Mauerstraße. Our entrance is between ÇiğKöfteM and the NVV Kundenzentrum. The sign above the door says Ärztehaus.

Directions for cycling

The nearest bike racks are about 50 meters away on Poststraße, Kölnische Straße, and Wolfsschlucht.

Driving directions

You can sometimes park for free on Spohrstraße, which runs parallel to our street. There is an underground parking garage at Kurfürstengalerie on Mauerstraße. The Kurfürstengalerie is in the same building as us. Parking there costs a fee.
There are several elevators in the underground parking garage:
Several elevators lead to the Kurfürstengalerie. Take one of these to pay your parking fee after your visit.
One elevator is marked with signs for Arztpraxen. This elevator also leads to us.

The elevator door is 80 cm wide. All other doors are wider.
On the way to the elevator, you will come to a heavy door without an automatic door opener. We will be happy to come down and open the door for you. Please send us an email in advance to info at QueeresZentrumKassel dot de. We will then give you the phone number of the person responsible. Call this person when you arrive.
