What is awareness?

Awareness means paying attention to yourself and others. We want to work together to ensure that as many people as possible can participate in the Queer Center. To do this, it is important that we know what we need from each other in order to participate. We communicate our needs and requirements and take responsibility for them. We support each other as much as possible in meeting the needs and requirements of our group.

What does the Queer Center do?

At the beginning of events and group meetings, it is pointed out who can be approached for awareness issues in this context. In addition, the code of conduct and the self-image of the Queer Center Kassel apply.

We can also refer to the guide “You, Me, Us, and These Structures”. This guide offers approaches for dealing with a variety of situations. The guide is available in simple and complex German. With this combination of tools, it is possible to work together to create a constructive environment.

Code of Conduct

Our code of conduct sets the framework for how we interact with each other at the Queer Center. We ask all visitors to familiarize themselves with it.
