What does the Awareness Team do?

Volunteers, staff, and a board member of the Queer Center work together in the Awareness Commitee. We discuss how we can make the Queer Center a safe and empowering place for many people.
To prevent harm, we have written a code of conduct for interacting with each other.
If something does happen, the awareness guidelines are intended to encourage intervention.
In the awareness concept, we have compiled emergency numbers and trained contact persons.
After the acute situation, the action guide provide a framework for how we deal with assaults and boundary violations at the Queer Center.
It is important to note that we are not social workers and cannot provide professional support to either the victims or the perpetrators. Our task is to protect the atmosphere at the Queer Center itself. We act in consultation with those affected and can recommend specialist services to them. Based on the terms of use, we also refer perpetrators to specialist services if necessary.

Code of Conduct

Our code of conduct sets the framework for how we interact with each other at the Queer Center. We ask all visitors to familiarize themselves with it.
