"Seize the Shelves" FLINTA* Exhibition
I am organizing the “Seize the Shelves” exhibition, which will take place from November 26 to December 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the exhibition hall of the Kassel University of Arts. The exhibition originated from an investigation into the gender publication gap at the university’s library. The exhibition aims to give FLINTA* people a voice and features works on feminism, gender, identity, discrimination against FLINTA* people, care work, equality, and the visibility of FLINTA* individuals, as well as the impact of the political shift to the right and the rise of right-wing forces on the freedoms and rights FLINTA* individuals have already fought to secure. We have a diverse lineup that is currently being expanded. Barbara will give a talk on the New York Women’s Studio Workshop on Friday, November 27, at 4 p.m., followed by a perfume workshop led by Jean on November 28 at 4 p.m. To wrap things up and as the highlight of the event, we’ll be hosting a QueerFemParty on December 4!
Everyone is welcome to join. I wouldn’t set an age limit. It’s always good to bring along your interest and an open mind :)
